Dr Bavithra Maheswaran

Dr. Bavithra Maheswaran is a General Practitioner and Cosmetic Doctor with a unique clinical perspective rooted in pharmacology and preventative care. Her medical journey began with a Bachelor of Pharmacy from James Cook University in 2014, providing her with a deep understanding of medicinal science before she transitioned into medicine.

She completed her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Notre Dame in 2020 in Sydney and trained across major tertiary centres in New South Wales, eventually earning her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

Her special interests are women’s health, antenatal care, paediatrics, preventative medicine and chronic disease management.

Dr. Maheswaran’s entry into cosmetic medicine was driven by a holistic philosophy of care. Following her personal journey into motherhood and the postpartum period, she recognised the profound impact that skin health and physical restoration have on an individual’s confidence and overall wellbeing. Currently pursuing a Fellowship with the Australasian College of Aesthetic Medicine (ACAM), Dr. Maheswaran specialises in skin rejuvenation and the subtle enhancement of natural features. She combines her deep pharmacological knowledge with advanced procedural skills to deliver results that are balanced, refreshed, and grounded in medical excellence.
